Our
Capabilities
Nikira Labs make state-of-the-art optical instrumentation for variety of military, environmental, and industrial applications.
Technical Skills
Solving Unmeasured Problems
Most of our work begins where off-the-shelf instruments fall short — and ends with a solution built to meet it.
Designing for Hard Environments
We take measurements that work on a bench and make them survive vibration, shock, temperature swings, and years of unattended operation.
Custom Analyzer Development
Give us a target species and a set of operating conditions, and we'll work it through to a final, delivered instrument; wavelength selection, optical design, prototyping, and hardware.
Quality & Standards
Nothing goes to sea on the strength of a bench result. Nikira Labs maintains a steadfast commitment to excellence, quality; we run instruments through thermal cycling, vibration, shock, and humidity before they leave the building, then soak them for weeks, unattended, logging continuously, to find the drift and the failures that only show up over time. Whatever breaks, breaks here, where we can fix it. By the time it ships, the surprises are already behind us.

01 / THE CHALLENGE
Trace Measurement Outside the Lab
Many of the species that matter are present at trace levels (parts-per-billion), in places laboratory instruments can't go. Conventional methods trade sensitivity for portability, or the reverse.

02 / THE APPROACH
Cavity-Enhanced Spectroscopy
Nikira Labs uses cavity-enhanced absorption spectrometry to measure a large variety of trace compounds in air with no calibration.
03 / THE RESULT
Field-Ready Instruments
The science only matters if the instrument survives where it's installed. We design to the thermal, vibration, power, and interface requirements of the platform, and qualify them before anything ships.
